Starting a new job & Getting back to SlimmingWorld

Hey guys! Where the hell has this past week gone? We have been Super busy preparing to go back to school and for me starting my new job (eek!).

After getting back from Florida I thought having a nice ten days off I’d be able to relax but how wrong was I! I need another holiday to get over that one!

So anyway, swiftly moving on, I took the plunge and joined back at SlimmingWorld yesterday. Iv been a member before and always lost a ton of weight but never managed to get to target. What’s different now? I have Zero choice but to get to my target weight. Why? Because my wedding dress is in the store, custom made and I have a feeling it would be a squeeze to get into it. I’m blaming Harry Potter world and all them butter beers. Here are a few tasty meals iv enjoyed this week!

I only need to shift a stone so I’m hoping I won’t struggle too much!

On another note, guess who starts their brand new job tomorrow in a brand new career that I don’t totally feel ready for? Yep, me.

Im not sure about all of you fellow graduates out there but when you started your first job that you studied so hard to get did you fee like a fraud? I tried my uniform on this week and felt like I was playing dress up. It was so so weird!.

I’m So nervous aswell. I’m going to work for a completely different trust, in an area I don’t know with people iv never met and in a community as appose to my safety blanket of the hospital.

Does anyone please, pretty please have any words of wisdom? The last time I started a real grown up job I was 17 and stayed there until I was 25.

So once iv got tomorrow out of the way I’ll let you know how I get on. Wish me luck!

Xoxo

  2. Good luck! You will do great! As a nurse of 7 years already, I remember my first day as well, it was scary but after a hour I knew this is where I was meant to be. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Smile. Find your “person” Someone that you can confide in about your new job that is going to listen to you about your worries, adventures, and give you advice. sometimes that person is someone you live with or friends. it has helped me tremendously because none of my family and few of my friends are nurses.

  3. Good luck with your fitness goal! I’m sure you can do it 🙂 As for the job, give yourself time to adapt and don’t get too disheartened with every stumble. We all stumble at work, especially when the job is new. Perseverance and hard work is usually the key to success 🙂

  4. Ah! I hope you have/had (timezones are an odd thing) a wonderful first day of work! I’m sure you’re going to rock it; and if you don’t, don’t forget to embrace it anyway! Sending you thoughts from afar! ❤
