Hello you gorgeous people how are we all this blustery Friday? I have just spent the afternoon with a friend of mine Sam interviewing her about her new YouTube channel! Sam is 30 and new to the Vlogging world, she is a mummy vlogger with two beautiful children and an Ok – ish (Sorry Danny) partner.
I decided to interview Sam to really get her name out there and hopefully some of my lovely readers will head on over to her channel and show her some support!
So come on help a hun out!
What is your name?
Sami dudley. i dont have any middle names, i wasn’t loved enough apparently.
Where do you come from?
Just the north west of England, no where too exciting just close to Liverpool. I think im a bit welsh and Scottish but im mainly scouse.
Do you have any siblings?
I have one older sister.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
Im newly unemployed after having another baby and deciding to be a full time stay at home mum. I have two children Elise who is aged 2 and Elliot who is 4 months old. I have a doggy called Daisy too!. I like Wine particularly Rose and fruity of course. I love going on little days out with my family. I love watching you tube and you can often find me watching this other than the T.V, its taken over my life and i regularly find myself being inspired watching other peoples cleaning videos. I know, its weird.
Is this your first channel?
What is your channel about?
Its not just a mummy channel but lifestyle too. It is very family orientated and will appeal to those with similar family dynamics and interests.
Why should anyone subscribe to your channel?
Because, i like to think i could make even just a small difference to someones day be that with advice on my favourite mummy gadgets or empowering other mummies through following their own instincts.
Where do you see yourself and your channel in the next five years?
Im currently taking driving lessons so hopefully ill have passed by then and ill be able to park my car on the drive of our new bigger forever home.
The two kids will be in school then so id love get back to work whether that be by employment or by YouTube.
What inspired you to first start making videos?
Turning 30! I think everyone i know around my age seen turning 30 as pure devastation, but for me it was gave me a lease of life! Its something that iv been interested in doing even years before having the kids but never having the confidence to start it. I worried that i wouldn’t be interesting enough and fear of rejection.
After having a second baby i realised i might have something that i could give to someone else in a similar situation whether its through struggles of having a newborn or changing your life to adapt to being a mum.
I really changed after having Elise, i lost myself a little bit and realised after having Elliot that there is more to me and life than just being a mum and i wanted to share that with everyone.
Who are some of your favourite youtubers?
I love watching Mama Reid, The Meldrums, Lucy Jessica Carter, Kate Murnane, Liza Prideaux.
Best thing about youtube is –
The amount of knowledge there is! That there is videos for absolutely everything. I love the personal aspect of Youtube aswell, getting to know people and networking.
Worst thing about you tube?
The amount of negativity on there! I hate that people seek to go out of there way to give someone abuse or any negativity. If you watch something that is not for you thenh just switch it off! There’s no excuse for nastiness.
Any advice for anyone thinking about starting a channel?
Just do it! Bite the bullet and grab whatever you have to hand and get your first video out there.
So that’s it! It was lovely catching up with Sam and i do hope everyone reading this heads on over to her channel! Especially you new mums! You really could take something away with you aswell!
Until Next time X0X0
